Arise 2026
Strengthening Culture & Building Careers
The Aboriginal Regional Arts Alliance (ARAA) is calling for Expressions of Interest for the 2026 ARISE Program—a 12-week development program designed to support and empower Aboriginal artists and cultural practitioners living in regional and remote NSW.
ARISE provides participants with tailored workshops, one-on-one mentoring, and networking opportunities with leading industry professionals. The program equips artists with the skills and knowledge needed to strengthen their practice, commercialise their work, and build sustainable creative careers.
Key focus areas include:
Branding and marketing your practice
Legal and business essentials for artists
Pricing and commercialisation of artwork
Storytelling and presentation skills
Connecting with audiences and networks

Pathway to DAAF 2026
Artists who successfully complete the ARISE 12-week program will be eligible to submit an application for selection into ARAA’s Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair (DAAF) 2026 program. This provides an incredible opportunity for regional and remote NSW Aboriginal artists to showcase their work on a national stage, connect with collectors, galleries, and buyers, and gain valuable exposure and experience in one of Australia’s leading Indigenous art markets.
Who should apply?
We invite EOIs from emerging and established Aboriginal artists and cultural practitioners based in regional and remote NSW who are committed to strengthening their practice and building their careers.
