Position Description

Position Title - Partnerships & Investment Lead – Here Now & Always

Employment Type - Fixed-term contractor role (May – November 2026), with potential for extension based on performance and outcomes. Approx. 7 hours per week. Contractor rates of pay will apply and can be discussed upon application.

Location -This is a work-from-home role, with the option to access a hot desk at the ARAA office in Manilla, NSW. Regular engagement in Tamworth is required, including attendance at Here Now & Always and partner meetings. Some travel may be required to support stakeholder engagement and partnership development.

About the Role

ARAA is seeking a strategic and outcomes-driven Partnerships & Investment Lead to drive funding, partnerships, and long-term sustainability outcomes through its flagship event, Here Now & Always (HNA) and ARAA NSW holistically.

This is a high-impact, senior specialist role focused on securing investment, building strategic relationships, and establishing a pipeline of future funding opportunities.

This role recognises that while financial investment is critical, the success of Here Now & Always and our organisation is also driven by strong, respectful partnerships with local communities and organisations.

While anchored in the delivery of Here Now & Always, the role is designed to create a sustainable, partnership-driven model that strengthens ARAA’s financial position, community connections, and sector leadership beyond the event lifecycle.

Purpose of the Role

  • Secure financial investment and partnerships for Here Now & Always

  • Diversify ARAA’s revenue streams beyond government funding

  • Build and convert a pipeline of partnership and funding opportunities

  • Develop strategic partnerships across Tamworth and the region, including ACCOs and community organisations

  • Strengthen the delivery, cultural integrity, and long-term sustainability of ARAA and Here Now & Always

This role represents a strategic shift for ARAA from reliance on project-based funding to building a sustainable, partnership-driven model.

By leveraging Here Now & Always as a flagship initiative, the Partnerships & Investment Lead will play a critical role in shaping ARAA’s future, strengthening financial sustainability while also building meaningful, community-led partnerships that support cultural integrity and long-term impact.

This role is an investment in ARAA’s future by building the partnerships, visibility, and financial sustainability required to support First Nations arts and culture for generations to come.
