About the Program
What is We Weave Together 2026?
Weave Together is a cultural weaving program designed to bring women together for connection, creativity, and time on Country.
Guided by Aboriginal women and supported by community partners, the program offers weaving workshops, storytelling circles, meals, accommodation, and a culturally safe space for women to connect and learn.
What’s Included
Weaving Workshops - Hands-on weaving activities guided by Aboriginal cultural weavers.
Meals Provided - Nutritious meals included across the program.
Accommodation -Comfortable onsite accommodation included for all participants.
Cost
$50 per person
Includes: all workshops, weaving materials, meals, and accommodation.
Transport is not included and must be arranged by your organisation.

We welcome organisations who support First Nations women across regional and remote NSW, including:

Weave Together 2026 is open to:
Women supported by community organisations, including women’s health centres, ACCHOs, housing and homelessness services, youth programs, family support services, councils, social wellbeing programs, and TAFEs.
Individual women who wish to attend independently.
The program welcomes women of all ages, backgrounds, and weaving levels from complete beginners to experienced weavers.

The cost is $50 per person, which includes all workshops, weaving materials, meals, and accommodation.

No. Transport must be arranged by each individual or the organisation.

If your organisation normally provides staff support, supervision, or transport for group activities, then staff attendance is welcome and encouraged. Staff are counted as participants and therefore pay the same $50 fee, which includes meals, accommodation, and all weaving activities.

Is the program culturally appropriate?

No experience required, all levels welcome.
